Young Fathers
Taken from the T2: Trainspotting soundtrack...

Young Fathers have shared new track 'Only God Knows' - tune in now.

Well, it was slightly inevitable, wasn't it?

When production began on T2: Trainspotting speculation mounted on who would appear on the soundtrack, given the undoubted impact of the original film.

Young Fathers hail from Leith, the area of Edinburgh that serves for the primary locale of the film's misadventures.

New cut 'Only God Knows' appears in T2: Trainspotting, and the near tribal beat is bolstered by the Leith Congregational Choir.

Director Danny Boyle:

"Trainspotting, the original book is like a modern Ulysses. It’s unsurpassed I think, and reading it is still like the ‘rush of ocean to the heart’. You're always looking for the heartbeat of a film. For Trainspotting it was Underworld's Born Slippy. For T2 It's Young Fathers. Their songs are my heartbeat for the film. And 'Only God Knows' is that rush again. The ocean. The heart."

Tune in now.

'Only God Knows' is out now - Big Dada will give the track a full seven inch vinyl release in March.
