'Dada' is one of the simplest words, yet also one of the most complex.
The name of a pioneering movement in visual art, it's also one of the simplest phrases imaginable - indeed, it can trip off the tongues of newborn children.
When New York art-punx B Boys decided to call their debut album 'Dada' it was an attempt to encompass all of this and more.
Out on June 16th via Captured Tracks, it's all sharp-edged riffs, angular songwriting, surrealist wordplay and street-wise schtick.
Reminiscent of Devo's guitar trickery or even Talking Heads' more visceral outings, B Boys reach into New York's art-rock sewer and pull out jewel after jewel.
Clash is able to premiere new cut 'Discipline', and it's fraught riffing piles pressure on the lyrics until they bulge and crack into splenetic shapes.
Tune in now.
