Manic Street Preachers have confirmed plans for new tour film BE PURE. BE VIGILANT. BEHAVE.
The film was shot by long-time collaborator Kieran Evans, and features performances from their 2014/2015 tour dates celebrating 'The Holy Bible'.
The 65 minute film premieres at Premiere Cinema Cardiff on October 19th - ticket LINK.
Kieran Evans said: "In discussions with the band, the intention from the start of filming was to capture the experience and energy of the shows rather than simply just shooting a concert film. Just like the album’s creative stance, we all wanted the film to be uncompromising and challenging in its aesthetic and shooting approach."
“For me, Be Pure, Be Vigilant, Behave is a document that I hope conveys the intelligence, the energy, the art and the craft that went in to making The Holy Bible shows so extraordinary and how vital and necessary the Manic Street Preachers still are in the current musical landscape.”
The screening will be accompanied by The Valley Trilogy - a compilation of the first three short films Evans made for the Manics, 'Show Me the Wonder', 'Anthem for a Lost Cause' and 'Rewind the Film'.
