With an emphatic headline performance...

LCD Soundsystem brought Lovebox 2016 to a close with an emphatic headline performance.

The day had been bathed in sunshine, with summer finally deciding to visit East London.

Jungle warmed the Main Stage crowd, while over on the Clash x SoundCrash stage Jamie Woon delivered a supple, soulful performance.

All eyes were on LCD Soundsystem, though, as the group made a long-awaited return to London.

James Murphy was a bemused figure onstage, clearly relishing the performance yet also startled by the energy of the crowd.

The set displayed real muscle, with LCD Soundsystem utilising a simple yet enormously effective lightshow to full advantage.

At one point singing 'Happy Birthday' to drummer Pat Mahoney, the show – and the festival – ended with an epic rendition of 'All My Friends'.
