Via an IBM constructed algorithm...
James Murphy

Ending LCD Soundsystem in a blaze of glory, fans could be forgiven that James Murphy wanted to put his feet up.

In reality, though, the producer has rarely been so busy. Launching the Despacio project with Soulwax, Murphy has also kicked off his acting career with a role in Noam Baumbach’s forthcoming flick ‘While We’re Young’.

Now the producer has unveiled another, rather grander, project. James Murphy is set to work with IBM and the US Open, translating raw data from the tennis tournament into music.

As Self-Titled point out, the project filters data from each match, generating an algorithm which is translated into song - eventually, over 400 hours of music will be created.
