With a darker fourth album...
Francois & The Atlas Mountains

With their African-influenced percussion and light, airy feel, Francois & The Atlas Mountains' debut album on Domino 'E Volo Love' was a sparkling delight.

Awarded 8/10 in these digital pages, the group - partly French, with a debt to Bristol - took their wonderfully vibrant live show around the country.

Heading back into the studio, Francois & The Atlas Mountains have completed a darker, more mature fourth album. Lyrically, the group's new material is inspired by a traumatic, intense time in lead singer Francois' life.

Recorded in Entre-Deux-Mers near Bordeaux, sessions included Glasgow musician Gerard Black (also of Babe).

Gathered on new album 'Piano Ombre' - which translates as 'Calm Down Shadow' - the material will see the light of day later this year.

For now, though, Clash must content itself with upcoming single 'La Verite'. Due for release on March 17th, you can check it out below:

'Piano Ombre' is set to be released on March 17th.
